We have TWO new awesome performance groups that we are launching in August 2015: VoiceBox & JamBox!
VoiceBox is an a cappella, performance based group that will perform 3-4 times per semester at local community events and shows with our other performance groups and students (this would be a requirement of each “VoiceBox” group member) at events like: Light UP UCF, UCF sporting events, Taste Of Oviedo, Great Day in the Country, etc. This would keep them motivated and working hard towards each new performance opportunity, as well as give them experience on stage & in front of a variety of audiences. A list of shows/dates are handed out at the beginning of each show semester. The group would meet weekly from 4:30pm-5:30pm on Monday evenings. They will learn songs to prepare for upcoming shows, complex harmonies and solfege, ear training, stage presence, warm ups & vocal technique. It is $100 per month & each member would need to commit to at least one full performance semester (August-December and January-May are the 2 show semesters) since shows will be booked in advance, and having a student drop out mid semester would affect the entire group.
JamBox is a band experience for the singers and instrumentalists within our studio who are interested in developing multiple garage-style bands of different skill levels under the instruction of Alex Pandolph! It is essentially a time for our students to jam out with friends, while applying techniques learned in private lessons, and then implementing them in a real-life band setting by creating song arrangements as a group. This group will be meeting on Fridays from 4-5pm for a 60 minute jam session starting August 21st. The cost for this class is $55 per month and is opened to any MusicBox student that is currently enrolled in private lessons.
